Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Back to School

hello hello!
Back today with another Simon Says Stamp challenge.
This week's challenge is.... Back to School!

You can see the details of the challenge HERE

With the challenge deadline quickly approaching, I whipped up this card this morning before I left for work...

I recently made my first purchase at Simon Says Stamp (I had been eyeing their wafer thin sentiment dies for quite some time, and finally took the plunge!), so this challenge was the perfect impetus to use my new 'teacher' die!
I chose random papers to evoke a school-themed backdrop for the focal point, which is the chalkboard that I created by framing a piece of black textured cardstock with 1/8" strips of tan textured cardstock. I added a few random accents that were laying in proximity to my craft table (I was running short on time to develop a more detailed card!), and voila, finished product!

Thanks for stopping by today, I truly appreciate it!!
until next time...

make it sparkle - simon says stamp challenge

who doesn't love sparkly things?!
Playing along with the latest Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp
I was very eager to make a card sparkle..
here is my take on the challenge:

Sparkly enough for you? ;)
The  background paper is covered in sparkly gold polka dots, and after stamping with my (new to me) Neat and Tangled stamp, I used a glue pen to outline the stamped decorative image and added gold glitter to add more sparkle.
Simple, yet sparkly, and fun.
Thanks for checking out my card, appreciate it!

Moxie Fab World clock icon challenge

greetings crafty friends!!
It's been forever and a day since I played along with a Moxie Fab challenge, but thanks to a nudge by my moxie fab friend  Teri, I gave it a whirl!!

Here is my bright and bold take on the 'Clicking Cameras' challenge:

I love this bold color combination! And I am extremely grateful for this challenge, since I have had this camera paper in my stash for a while now and never really knew what to do with it! Paired with a die cut journaling card from MAMBI and the stamped 'gorgeous' sentiment from My Favorite Things, the camera paper completed the themed card perfectly!
Thanks for the inspiring challenge, Teri!!
And thank YOU for stopping by my blog!

Runway inspired challenge #65

Greetings fashionistas! ;)
This is my first time participating in a runway inspired challenge.... and it definitely won't be my last!!! Love this challenge!!
This was the inspiration photo:

and here is my runway inspired design:

I kept the card design clean and simple, like the outfit. The lace and yellow are representative of the outfit as are the hints of black, cream, and I even replicated the the two strips of silver on the model's shoes.
This was a great challenge to get the creative juices flowing, I encourage you to give it a shot, head HERE for challenge details.

Thanks for stopping by!!
