winnie & walter WCMD sketch challenge

If you know me, you know I LOVE card sketches!!
So you can just imagine how excited I was to give this fabulous Winnie & Walter WCMD challenge sketch a try!!
I interpret sketches pretty literally.... here is my take:

This was such a FUN card to concept and create!! It is sort of a play on 'silver and gold', but instead of silver, I used gray ;). The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Record It Antique collection. I used Winnie & Walter sentiments from both The Big, the Bold, and You and The Big, the Bold, and the Happy, and heat embossed with black embossing powder to make them really stand out on the card. I threw in a splash of gold (sequins, gold tape, and a gold heart) for a trendy feel.

I love it when an idea comes together just as you had planned :)
Thanks for a great sketch challenge!!
And thank YOU for stopping by!!

pinspired by winnie & walter

Back again with another challenge put on by winnie & walter for WCMD!!
Specifically, the "Pinspiration challenge with Vanessa"...

Here is the fabulous image we got to work with
I love, love, LOVE it!!
And was inspired to create this card based on the fab image:
I was inspired by the woodgrain, triangle shapes (the border die), and the color scheme from the sample image, and also the W&W stamp from Vanessa's gorgeous card which you can see HERE.

What a great challenge, glad that I was able to play along!!
thanks for stopping by!!

my winnie & walter "craftie"

totally forgot to post my Winnie & Walter 'craftie' from WCMD Saturday... LOL!!!

Unfortunately I had other things to do on WCMD and didn't get a full day to craft, but I did sneak some card making time in on and off throughout the day, and that's good enough for me!! :)

What did you do on World Card Making Day? Do share!

Thanks for stopping by!!

WCMD - Winnie & Walter pattern play challenge

still having fun playing with some WCMD challenges, particularly those over on the Winnie and Walter blog!
I was intrigued by THIS challenge, Pattern Play with Shay.
And here is my take on the challenge:
A very clean and simple card, but by pairing the bold geometric patterned paper (from Wildberry line/Jubilee collection/My Mind's Eye) with the fabulous bold sentiment (I can't live without my The Big, The Bold, and You Winnie & Walter stamp set!!) the end result is a bold and beautiful thank you card!

Great challenge Winnie & Walter, glad that I played along!
Thanks for stopping by!!
